The Teaching Pool
Information about the Teaching Pool at Leisure World Colchester
The Teaching Pool at Leisure World Colchester is ideal for children and adults who are absolute beginners. With its family friendly design, beginners can learn in comfort in the Teaching Pool, which is heated to a warmer temperature than the Fitness Pool.
The Teaching Pool is served by a family Spectator Lounge - the ideal place for families and friends of learner swimmers to relax in when swimming lessons are taking place. The lounge is equipped with café style tables and chairs and large comfy sofas. The lounge also benefits from a television, vending machines with hot and cold drinks and a large puzzle toy for children. With large windows facing the Teaching Pool families and friends are able to observe swimming lessons as they take place.
Village style changing rooms serve the Teaching Pool.

Teaching Pool Terms and Conditions
Prices listed are public swim only, please ask Reception for prices of special sessions.
Children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied in the water (in any of the pools) by an adult (16+ years).
Maximum ratio is three children to one adult with no more than two children under the age of 5 years. A pool safety flyer is available at reception.
To allow for changeovers, sessions may terminate 5 minutes before of after the advertised closing time.
General Pool rules are displayed in the building and are there for your health and safety and your enjoyment.
Please note, we run customer and staff training courses which take place during public sessions in the pool at various times of the year. This will restrict pool availability at certain times.
