Look after your bike

So you’re ready to ride, but what about your bike? Here are a few simple checks to carry out before you set off on your journey.

Give your tyres a squeeze to check if they need a bit more air and make sure they are not worn down |

Make sure your seat is the right height so you are safe and comfortable |

Wipe your lights and reflectors so you can be seen, especially if you are cycling at night or if it’s a gloomy day |

Always test your breaks before every ride and make sure they are not rubbing against the tyres |

Make sure your chain is properly attached and that it’s not damaged or rusty |
