Adult cycle skills
If you haven’t ridden a bike for years but are feeling inspired to get back in the saddle, our adult skills sessions could be just the thing you need.
We offer a range of different adult cycle skills sessions to meet your needs from Parents Plus to two hour tasters along with Bikeability courses.
As well as offering a quick reminder of basic bike handling skills, our instructors will also take you out on local roads and advise you on how to make manoeuvres.
The courses are completely free of charge, however you must register for a place in advance.
To find out more or to book a place on a forthcoming course call Gary Bartram, Cycle Training Co-ordinator, on 01206 838600.

“Cycle Colchester's instructors were very friendly, helpful, understanding and professional. I hope that a lot more adults in Colchester will take part in adult cycle training sessions. It is just so much more relaxing to cycle when you know how get around in the traffic as safely as possible. “A big thank you to Cycle Colchester and its instructors!” |

“I recently took part in one of Cycle Colchester's adult cycle training sessions where I gained the last bit of confidence that I really needed to cycle across roundabouts. Many will probably think that I did not need to take part in one of those sessions since I had taken part in quite advanced cycle courses beforehand. And most people would probably say that I'm a very confident and very keen cyclist. But my fear of roundabouts really slowed me down since it would take me forever to walk with the bike on the pavement to get around the roundabouts.
