Meet our Cycle Stars
This summer Cycle Colchester recruited four families from across the town to take part in a variety of activities to help them get on their bikes and make cycling a part of their everyday lives.
The Cycle Stars project is the brainchild of Cycle Colchester, a partnership between Essex County Council, Colchester Borough Council and the cycle community.
Over six weeks the budding Cycle Stars were given all the training and support they needed to help them feel the benefits travelling by bike can bring, from Bikeability skills sessions and a bike maintenance masterclass to fun challenges and help planning regular journeys.
The families were filmed along the way and will feature in an advert to inspire others, due to hit the screens at Colchester Odeon this summer.
